Degassing of rail tankers for the transport of compressed gases
As with rail tankers for the transport of chemical and petroleum products, our qualified and experienced staff, together with the innovative technologies of our facilities, form the basis for professional, safe and high quality solutions. Our plant offers different ways of degassing by combustion, thanks to which we are able to completely degass and make inert the rail tankers carrying gaseous materials. In fact, in addition to the complete elimination of the residual product, degassing can be followed by the inertization of the tank (washing cycles with nitrogen). Upon request, it is possible to issue a Gas-Free certificate, thanks to the collaboration with qualified experts.

Inspection of tanks and certification process through certified bodies
After the tank has been cleaned, we take over the legally required tank inspection. We guarantee the functionality and tightness of the tank and its fittings and support the certification process, through our contracts with notified bodies inspectors according to RID norms.
Leak tests KPW and KPZ, nitrogen flushing, measurements of the wall thickness of the tank, certification through certified bodies
Repairs
Thanks to our many years of experience, we know many types of freight wagons like the back of our hands. Our workshop is certified ECM IV Function according to the Executive Regulation 779/2019 and we are ISO 9001: 2015 certified for the management of processes in terms of quality. At Veneta Lavaggi Turbo we know what is important when repairing and replacing components - naturally upon completion of the activities we can carry out the necessary tightness and functionality tests.
For safety reasons, we can only carry out repair work on tank wagons on empty and clean freight wagons. We have forty years of experience in the remediation of tanks, but we are also available to carry out only maintenance activities. In this case, the rail tankers must be delivered already cleaned, and accompanied by the certificates detailing the works carried out previously.

Mobile Service
Freight wagons aren’t on the road in their country of origin only, but cross borders in all directions to neighboring countries. Italy is a busy country for freight transport. The increasing flexibility and the associated requirement to bring goods quickly to their destination requires wagons that are reliable and always ready for use. But often there is not enough time to bring a vehicle to the workshop. Or a train stops on the track because of unexpected damage - all occasions where only a mobile service that is quickly on site can provide help or handle repairs.
In this case, the mobile team from VLT is available, if repair on site is possible.
